OCCURENCE: summer nesting migrant.
CHARACTERISTICS: male with dark-grey head and back, orange breast and belly and white ‘moustache’; female with fainter colours; orange eye contour and iris.
FOOD: insects and berries.
ECOLOGY AND BEHAVIOUR: terrestrial; prefers open areas; nests in bushes.
